Join us for a fun-filled family-friendly day dedicated to wellness out in Patterson Park for Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage and Mental Health Awareness Month!
We invite you to gather and engage in different activities related to rest and enjoy some space to socially/emotionally/playfully recharge. Additionally, we also welcome health professionals to share any offerings and resources you may have to offer the community! Come dressed comfortable, casual, and weather appropriate!

Join us for a walk through Patterson Park to enjoy the weather, move our bodies, and enjoy each others company! We will be meeting at the Cedar House in Patterson Park at 10 AM
11AM-3PM - Clothing, Book, and Pantry Swap+Drive
Need some motivation and accountability for spring cleaning? Hoping to practice sustainability, let of some items that no longer spark joy, and find something new-to-you that might? We invite you to bring clean and gently used clothing items, books, and pantry goods!
We will be donating any remaining items to the Baltimore Community Fridge Network, SPARC A Center For Women, and other local community-based organizations
11AM-11:30AM - Discussion on Why Health Research Matters
Did you know that International Clinical Trials Day is in May?
During this short 20-30 minute presentation we will learn about:
- Historical mistrust in clinical research
- How research is much safer today because of those that came before us
- Who makes research safe
- Different phases in clinical research
- Why representation is so important
- Informed consent
- What the process looks like
11:30AM-12:30PM - Creative Self Care: Mindful Collaging Workshop in Collaboration with NAMI Metro Baltimore
Folks from NAMI Metro Baltimore will be guiding us through a mindful collaging workshop! Come learn and practice skills around mindfulness and creativity, bring home your own decorated journal, and add to our NAAAP community scrapbook!
12:30PM-2PM - Dumpling Demo and Workshop hosted by NAAAP's Cookbook Committee
Have you ever been curious about the process of making dumplings from scratch? Now's your opportunity to get your hands flour-y, learn, and walk away with (a belly full of) 6 dumplings that you handmade yourself!
Our cookbook committee members will:
- Break down and model each step of the process
- Teach you how to roll, fill, and wrap your own dumplings
- Teach tips and tricks about different styles of preparation
So that you can walk away having learned and practiced skills around:
- Rolling out dough
- Filling and folding dumplings!
No prior experience required.
2PM-3PM - Karaoke!
In this hour, we are tasked with sealing the honmoon--for the faaans!
JK! For fun :)
No prior karaoke or demon hunter experience required.

Will there be food?
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided and you will also have the opportunity to make your own dumplings. You are more than welcome to bring any snacks or drinks to share as well!
Can I bring a friend who is not a NAAAP member?
Yes. NAAAP members are welcome to invite and register their non-member friends and guests.
Is this event family friendly?
Yes. Please do not leave children unattended.
Will dogs be allowed?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join us on the walk, however they will not be allowed inside the venue. We will have access to a fenced in courthouse. Please do not leave dogs unattended.
What should I wear?
Dress code will be cozy and casual. Feel invited to tailor to your expressive desires and sensory needs. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the walk.
What should I bring?
Anything you may need to feel comfortable outdoors and going on a walk through the park. We also recommend water, sun protection, bug spray, any medications you may need and anything else that you would like to bring for your own personal self-care! (for example: journals, camping chairs, blankets, field games, tarot cards, etc).
What kind of resources or offerings can I bring?
That is up to you! If you are a part of a health and wellness-oriented business or community initiative, we will have a resource table set up for folks to share any flyers, business cards, brochures, or giveaways they may have.
