Second Thursdays: AAPI Meet-up

Partnership with Asian Arts and Culture Center - Towson University

An Asia North Event

May 9, 2024

Gallery Space for Asia North

16 W. North Avenue

6 - 8 P.M.

Food and Drink

Featuring Chef Rey Eugenio of Heritage Kitchen

$10 Members, $15 Non-members

During our meet-ups, we are typically in a restaurant and guests support the business by purchasing food and drinks. For this special meet-up, we will support a local business and bring their cuisine into the gallery space.

Second Thursdays: AAPI Meet-ups are open to members and non-members.

NAAAP Baltimore and the Asian Arts and Culture Center - Towson University are teaming up to host a special Second Thursdays: AAPI Meet-up as part of Asia North 2024. We will celebrate artists who are exhibiting in the festival gallery while bringing people together for Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

About NAAAP Baltimore Second Thursdays

The Second Thursdays program brings together APIA professionals to socialize, hear from local leaders, and learn about upcoming events and opportunities. Every month, we also celebrate local businesses owned by Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, especially restaurants, as anchors of the APIA community in the region.

The Asia North 2024 exhibition, Love Letters to Baltimore + the DMV, centers themes of love and home. When someone asks you the question, “Where are you from?” how do you respond? If Baltimore/DMV is not your original home, what are some of the differences between where you are from and where live now? What does home mean for you? How do you respond to your home? Do you look at your home with loving eyes? Do you look at your home with tough love? Does your love and/or tough love for home allow you to see, or hear, or feel, or experience ways to enjoy your home, or motivate you to make your home a better place to live and thrive?

The Annual Asia North Exhibition and Festival is co-produced by Asian Arts & Culture Center and Central Baltimore Partnership.

As our Second Thursdays continue to support local AAPI businesses, please do not bring outside food/drinks.
