Event Details
Everyman Theatre has a pay-what-you-choose reading series called SCRIPT TEASE, and their final event will spotlight DAWN, a piece by their Associate Artistic Director and Resident Company Member Tuyết Thị Phạm, on April 7.
NAAAP Baltimore will have a table at the event, and we hope to see both members and non-members there!
Light refreshments and a satellite bar will be available. Cocktail hour starts at 6pm and the reading begins at 7pm, followed by a Q&A with the playwright moderated by Everyman's Resident Dramaturg, Robyn Quick.
About the Play:
Dawn is the compelling story of a mother and daughter who confront their legacy of love and loss set against the backdrop of historical trauma. Mary, a first-generation Cambodian American, grapples with feelings of guilt, anger, and grief as she navigates her parents’ experiences and their differing beliefs as survivors of the Khmer Rouge. Their journey to reconcile the past is both painful and liberating, ultimately guiding them toward a path of healing.
